NYC Facebook Developers Meeting

Last night Daylife hosted the NYC Facebook Developer Garage event. Congratulations to all the people/companies that presented! The NYC Social Application industry is definitely starting to mature.
Overall, the event was great but we could’ve done without the random real estate agent who took the opportunity to pitch their business plan.

If you really want to expand your developer community, send engineers to these events. A lot of the developers we met have a ways to go in their understanding of the Facebook data and APIs.

Unfortunately, the demo laptop was running IE 6. Test your applications in all browsers before releasing. If your application is on Facebook it’s going to have a significant number of IE 6 users.
